City Manager To Resume Operating Hours In Market Street Park
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – City Manager, Samuel Sanders, Jr. will resume operating hours in Market Street Park as of 11:00 pm on Saturday, October 21st.
With the announcement of PACEM (People And Congregations Engaged in Ministry) opening on Saturday, October 21st the City of Charlottesville will resume operating hours in Market Street Park at 11:00 pm the same day. The Salvation Army also has beds available now.
“I have asked our staff to engage with various service providers to strategize ways we can support this process so that anyone in the park will receive the assistance that they need to ensure a smooth transition. This work has already begun and will continue through whatever period necessary,” Sanders said.
The City Manager intends to speak again on this matter during Monday night’s City Council meeting.
