CPD Charges UVA Community Credit Union Robber
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – As a result of the Bank Robbery on July 14, 2023 at the UVA Community Credit Union located at 1936 Arlington Blvd, the Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) charged 46-year-old John Kenneth Zinno with the following offense:
- Robbery in Violation of Virginia Criminal Code – 18.2-58
Zinno is also facing criminal charges concerning the shoplifting incident on July 8, 2023 at Finks Jewelers located at 1025 Emmet Street. As a result of the investigation, he has been charged with the following offense:
- Grand Larceny in Violation of Virginia Criminal Code 18.2-95
Zinno was arrested by Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Deputies on Monday, July 17, 2023, and charged with a bank robbery that occurred in Stafford County earlier that day. He along with two co-conspirators are currently in custody at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
