City Hall to Reopen July 19, 2023
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The City Hall building will reopen Wednesday, July 19. Below are details for the locations of the Treasurer's Office, Commissioner of the Revenue's Office, Utility Billing, and Neighborhood Development Services (NDS).
The Treasurer’s Office will reopen at 8:30AM utilizing the Parks and Recreation Office entrance at 501 E Main St. Signage will direct customers to the new location. Customers and residents will be able to conduct in-person transactions such as utility bill payments, tax payments, trash decal purchases and zone parking permits at the new location. Unfortunately, due to space restraints, the DMV Select office will not open at this time.
The Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office will reopen at 8:30AM utilizing the upper floor of the Downtown Transit Center. Please use the Downtown Mall entrance across from City Hall. Taxpayers with business tax, personal property, or state income questions may seek in-person assistance at that location. Applications for the Charlottesville Homeowner Assistance Program can be filed there as well.
NDS will resume operations at 8:30AM with normal access through the Market Street entrance.
